RBF

Ottawa, ON

Building Information Modeling (BIM) 4D services were essential for the construction of the RBF industrial facility in Ottawa, Ontario. By integrating time into the 3D models, project stakeholders could visualize the entire construction process and its sequence.

BIM 4D also improved communication among team members and facilitated better decision-making throughout the project. Stakeholders could assess the impact of changes in real-time by viewing the construction schedule alongside the 3D model. This capability allowed for prompt adjustments, optimizing the overall schedule and reducing downtime.

This approach allowed for the identification of potential conflicts or delays early in planning, helping to establish an efficient workflow. As a result, resources were allocated effectively, and tasks were sequenced logically.

Consequently, the RBF project benefitted from enhanced coordination among trades, minimized delays, and a streamlined construction process, contributing to meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
