UBC CAMPUS ENERGY CENTRE

Vancouver, BC

UBC Properties Trust

The Campus Energy Centre (CEC) is a cutting-edge hot water boiler facility at UBC, with a total investment of $24 million. Situated in the center of UBC’s expansive 1,000-acre campus, the facility became operational in the fall of 2015 and is designed to meet all of UBC’s heating needs.

BIM played a crucial role in the project by facilitating the coordination of the significant mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) components. This included the management of the base steel structure, duct routing, piping, equipment, and boiler tanks, ensuring an efficient and effective construction process.
