The YVR A-B Connector is a $213 million expansion of the southern end of the domestic terminal building, designed to enhance passenger flow and introduce new security and safety features.
This expansion also includes seismic upgrades and aims to provide a more comfortable and efficient experience for travelers with additional amenities, shopping, and dining options.
A new baggage system connecting the domestic and international areas will facilitate quicker baggage transport, reducing wait times for passengers. Extensive BIM coordination was employed to ensure the effective integration of MEP systems with the baggage handling system and the steel structure.
This thorough planning and coordination at every project stage ensured a smooth installation process.
